Hi y'all,

 I know everybody is having a hard time these days, but I have no choice but to reach out and ask for help. 

 My heart gave out in February and I had to have open heart surgery. This meant being out of work for four months. Three days after getting out of the hospital my boss fired me for being too sick to do free work after hours. 

 A couple of weeks after I got home I went back in for treatment of Dressler's syndrome, basically, inflammation of the lining around the heart. They treated me for that but it is going away slowly. A bit after that I had a really bad day, ended up in the hospital dehydrated with a gall bladder that needed to be removed. Eventually, after having TIA's the doctors ignored I had a stroke that was treated with the wonder drug TPA.

 My heart cardiac arteries have been repaired but the echo-cardiogram shows my heart muscles are barely working, which is why I am still fatigued easily and short of breath.The last time I saw my cardiologist he did not release me for work because I have something called Diastolic Heart Failure. I cannot collect unemployment because I cannot work and the job market is not terriffic right now anyhow, sooooo.... well, you get the picture.

My fourteenth hospitalization was in January, less than a year after my first time in. I did everything they asked me to and I still walk with a cane, fall down and get winded after minor exertion. I am no closer to working now than when they said I would walk out of the hospital as a brand new man.

 If you can, please help. Whether you can help or not, please pray that nothing else breaks or needs surgery.

We had a small family reunion on the weekend of June 12th, 2010 to celebrate my father in law's 75th birthday

By the by Joey happened to show up with his family ;-) Totally unexpected. Enjoy the pics!

 

We had a small family reunion the last weekend of February, 2010. This was the first time we all got together since mom died March 1, 2000.

To get ready for it I did some scans of old pictures and some of the big party for Mom's 70th where all her surviving sibs were together for the first time in years. Those scans are in an album on the Walgreens website.

We took some new pictures and put them in another album on the Walgreens site. They are also in this gallery album. Hope you enjoy them!
